Furqan's trip to school

I don't usually have the time to do this, but since this is an important milestone for furqan, i'll sacrifice a bit of my time..

Yesterday I took leave to take furqan to school.. i actually intended to take the 1 week free trial but something came up with our maid that she had to go back to indonesia... so we had to cancel the plan and went there just for one day to check out the facilities and maybe see how furqan deals with the surrounding.

He woke up early morning and when i told him that he's going to school, he was really excited. The first thing that he did was went to the storeroom and asked where his bag was (we bought him a Bob the Builder school bag just for the fun of it) So i packed him a bottle of water inside the bag (no books yet, i just had to put something in it) and prepared him for school.

When we arrived, i spoke with the teacher and asked her permission to let furqan join the group. So furqan was ushered by another teacher into the group. They were having an assembly (consisting of 4,5 and 6 yr olds).

Later after i finished the discussion i took a peek at furqan. He was sitting in line with the other kids. But i noticed something was amiss, he was sort of crouching almost facing the wall. Then i noticed he was controlling tears in his eyes... oh my..it was heartbreaking to see him that way... kesiannya anak mama...he must be really scared... suddenly i realized what went wrong... i didn't mention to him anything when i left him with the teacher!

ok, so furqan's behaviour is this... whenever i'm gonna leave him, i have to let him know where i'm going so he knows what's happening... the thing is now, that he doesn't know where i went and what's going to happen to him...poor kid, he must be terrified with all the strangers around him!

after the assembly, he saw me and straight away ran to me and what else, cried his heart out! so i comforted him and told him to join back the group (they were having breakfast) and told him i'll be there to wait for him.... he complied and joined the other kids for breakfast... with of course, every minute checking if i'm still there....

after their breakfast we had to go back home as we had to send our maid to port klang... back home i asked furqan whether he wants to go to school again.. luckily, the answer was YES...

In the midst of excitement, i forgot to take photos of him at his soon-to-be school. Nevermind, will take during the 1 week free trial.

Questions

Sedang buat kerja di ofis, tiba-tiba teringat gelagat anak bujang mama tuh. Furqan’s been asking a lot of question now… contohnya… last nite:

I’m doing my work in front of the laptop with my right hand at my chin, and furqan sitting on my lap. “Mama, kenapa mama letak tangan kat mulut?”
Of course there’s no answer for that, it’s just an automatic gesture when I’m concentrating…. Hmm… “takde apa, saje je…” Of course, he’s not satisfied with that answer…

Earlier a few days back I was watching Keliwon with my hands in front of my face..yes, I’m a scaredy cat… “mama, kenapa mama letak tangan kat situ?” ok… I don’t want to tell him that I’m afraid, coz I don’t want him to be a coward, so I just said that “mama nak tepis hantu..” hahah… and just yesterday, he mimicked what I did and told me that he wants to ‘tepis hantu’ also…

I foresee 1001 question more coming in days ahead….

My Fairy Princess Birthday!

At last my darling has finally reached her 1st year milestone on 13th February 2009. But since the 13th was a Friday, we postponed the celebration to the next day. The theme was 'A Fairy Princess in a Garden' ... eventhough we had the party in our apartment, not in a garden... but the birthday cake (birthday muffin, actually) was decorated to fit that theme... and of course, the birthday GIRL was 'decorated' to fit the theme... hehe..

All in all, it was a wonderful celebration except for the CAMERA, which i had to borrow from the office, as our camera was broken down by the birthday gal herself... and since i was not used to the camera, it didn't function as i expected... a lot of blurry images! sigh...

With her Opah, Atuk + big Bro Furqan + 6 cousins....

To my lovely Faiqah, may u grow up to be a solehah, obedient n loving daughter....
